A movie reviewer and broadcast journalist who was a familiar face to 80s TV viewers has died. “The Hollywood Reporter” says Bill Harris passed away Thursday at the City of Hope hospital in Duarte [[ DWAR-tee ]] after a bout with cancer. He was 75. The personality famous for his glasses and bushy mustache was one of the first reporters hired for “Entertainment Tonight” right after the infotainment series debuted in 1981. Harris later appeared along with New York critic Rex Reed on the syndicated program “At the Movies.” He also reviewed films for “PM Magazine” and appeared in interview programs for Showtime and The Movie Channel.
