Motorcycle riders from Louisville, Clay City and Centralia were hospitalized following an accident on Route 51 near Centralia Saturday. According to the Illinois State Police, motorcycle driven by James Riddle, of Louisville, Jeremy Hagen, of Clay City, and David Cluck, of Centralia were northbound in a group of 50-60 motorcycles. One of the bikes was attempting to pass others in the group, and when he came back into the group, Riddle’s, Hagen’s and Cluck’s motorcycles went down onto the pavement. Hagen was charged with driving while license suspended, and no valid insurance. He and Riddle were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Cluck was airlifted to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. The accident remains under investigation.
