Pumpkin Queen Potential Contender To Succeed Rep. Shimkus
(Keenes, IL) — A family pumpkin farmer is emerging as a contender to succeed outgoing U.S. Representative John Shimkus in the 15th Congressional District. Sarah Frey’s company shot to nationwide fame after making a distribution deal with Walmart. Reports say Republicans are looking for a woman to fill the seat to address Illinois’ GOP gender gap on Capitol Hill. GOP sources say Frey’s background in agriculture and business make her a strong choice to make a run for the seat. Frey hasn’t commented on the speculation.
