Champaign Council Approves Recreational Marijuana Tax
(Champaign, IL) — The Champaign city council is implementing a three-percent sales tax on recreational marijuana. The council unanimously approved the tax, which is expected to bring in more than 300-thousand dollars a year. Urbana, Danville, and many other cities have passed a similar tax.
