FBI Raids State Senator Martin Sandoval’s Offices
(Springfield, IL) — Published reports say federal agents have raided the Springfield and Cicero offices of state Senator Martin Sandoval. FBI agents were seen walking out of the Chicago Democrat’s offices at the Capitol, his district office in west suburban Cicero, and his home on the Southwest side of Chicago with cardboard boxes and items marked evidence. It’s not clear if the raids are related to the indictment of once-powerful Chicago Alderman Edward Burke on racketeering and bribery charges.
