Horizon Health Offers Flu Shot Clinic in Paris
(Paris, Ill.)—Horizon Health will offer a walk-in flu shot clinic on Friday, October 4, from 1:30 to 5 pm, at the Paris Clinic.
Flu shots will be available to adults age 18 and older. No appointment is necessary, however, participants must still register at the Paris Clinic registration desk. Cash pay amounts are listed below, but insurance will be billed when applicable.
Three types of flu shots will be available:
- Standard quadrivalent flu shots will be available for $30 cash pay.
- High-dose vaccines will be available to seniors age 65 and older for $60.
- Flublok will also be available for $60. It is recommended for age 50 and older, or age 18 and older with certain chronic conditions. Flublok is a quadrivalent recombinant protein-based vaccine, meaning neither eggs nor the influenza virus were used in the production process.
Patients covered under Medicaid who need a flu shot should make an appointment with their primary care provider. Additionally, flu shots for children under age 18 are available through their primary care provider.
