ISU Gay Pride Group Celebrates 50th Anniversary
(Normal, IL) — A gay pride group at Illinois State University is celebrating 50 years at the university. Pride, formerly known as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance dates back to the same year as the Stonewall uprising in New York, when it was called the Gay People’s Alliance. The group is more public in its activities since its beginnings as an underground group.
