Young Boy Charged With Murders Can’t Be Tried As Adult
(Springfield, IL) — A nine-year-old boy charged with five counts of murder will not face adult charges. Prosecutors say the boy is too young to face charges as an adult. The charges stem from a mobile home fire that killed five people in April. The child is also charged with two counts of arson and one count of aggravated arson.
