Blue Bell Issues Recall Because Of Possible Foreign Object Contamination
(Brenham, TX) — Blue Bell is recalling some of its ice cream because of possible contamination by bits of plastic. The Texas-based creamery has issued the voluntary recall for half-gallons of its Butter Crunch Ice Cream flavor that were produced in August at a Blue Bell plant in Alabama. A customer told Blue Bell a piece of plastic had turned up in a container of the ice cream. An internal investigation found the problem was a broken tool at the plant.
