Student Activists Give List Of Demands To University Of Illinois
(Champaign, IL) — A group of student activists is objecting to University of Illinois Chancellor Robert Jones’ campus-wide apology to students. Jones said in the apology that a presentation given by a student housing worker contained anti-Semitic comments. Students for Justice in Palestine has given the Chancellor two days to respond to its demands or the group will call for his resignation. The group wants Jones to send out a new email saying that the presentation didn’t contain anti-Semitic content and to denounce the relation between swastikas and Palestinian-related content.
