Man Convicted In Chinese Scholar’s Death No Longer In Illinois

(Oklahoma City, OK) — The man convicted in the kidnapping and killing of University of Illinois scholar Yingying Zhang is no longer in Illinois. The Federal Bureau of Prisons says Brendt Christensen is being held at Oklahoma City Federal Transfer Center. He was sentenced to life in prison in July for Zhang’s kidnapping and murder. Officials have not released where Christensen is headed to next.
