Mendota Teachers Strike Continues
(Mendota, IL) — Teachers are continuing to walk the picket lines in Mendota. Both sides are returning to the bargaining table today. Negotiations stalled over the weekend and today’s meeting is the first to happen this week. The school board president says the teachers are being offered a generous package. Teachers say they’re seeking comparable wages similar to nearby districts. Each side is hoping to come to terms quickly so the strike can end.
