A Texas man was killed in a crash on I-70 yesterday, Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
According to the Illinois State Police, 19-year-old Gerardo Navarrete was eastbound near mile post 80 in Effingham County when his vehicle rear-ended a tractor-trailer which was stopped in traffic. Navarrete died at the scene. The driver of the semi, Cecil Dodd, of Harriman, Tennessee was not injured.
