Governor J.B. Pritzker is issuing over eleven-thousand pardons for people with low-level cannabis convictions. The pardons are the beginning of the first wave of cannabis expungements that happened on the eve of the legalization of recreational marijuana. Illinois is now the eleventh state in the country to legalize adult-use cannabis.
