As per the Illinois State Police, one person was injured last night in a crash at the Sigel Exit on I-57. Marvin Curtiss of Utica, Michigan was the driver of a pickup truck which slid into the guardrail after he lost control of the vehicle on an ice-covered bridge.
The truck then bounced into a lane of oncoming traffic where it was struck and overturned onto the shoulder of the road by another driver who faced no injuries.
Dorothy Curtiss, a passenger in the pickup truck, was transported last night to St. Anthony’s Memorial for treatment of multiple injuries.
