Governor Pritzker Delivers State Of State Address
(Springfield, IL) — Governor J.B. Pritzker says historic progress has been made in Illinois over the past year. Pritzker delivered the State of the State address yesterday evening at the Illinois State Capitol. Pritzker pointed to job growth and a declining number of opioid-related overdose deaths as indicators of success in the state. He also praised measures legalizing marijuana, raising the age to buy tobacco products to 21, and expanding the number of new Illinois State Troopers. Pritzker urged lawmakers to pass comprehensive ethics reform and said he is determined to continue strengthening diverse representation.
