Illinois Facebook Users May Get Paid
(San Francisco, CA) — Folks on Facebook in Illinois could soon see a check in the mail. A judge in San Francisco is considering a settlement from Facebook over Illinois’ online privacy laws. The company is accused of using facial recognition software to identify users. That’s against the law in Illinois. If the settlement is approved, some Facebook users in the state could see as much as 550 dollars each.
