Glenwood High Student Dies After Getting The Flu
(Chatham, IL) — A Glenwood High School junior in Chatham is the latest Illinois victim of the flu. Joey Sandhaas died yesterday following complications from the virus. The 16-year-old had battled a flu that turned into pneumonia. Joey was later put into a medically induced coma because his organs were failing had he had no oxygen flowing to his body. The Ball-Chatham School District wrote a Facebook post mourning Joey’s death and remembering his love for his family, friends, and dog Jasper.
