Illinois Lawmaker Wants To Bring Back Gas Station Attendants

(Springfield, IL) — The proposed plan to stop people in Illinois from pumping their own gas is as much about jobs as anything else. Chicago Democrat Camille Lilly is pushing what she’s called the Gas Station Attendant Act. Her legislation would require that someone else pump your gas. Lilly introduced her plan last week, but it is sitting at the Capitol in Springfield with no sign of moving.
