Trial To Begin For Man Accused Of 2009 Murder
(Champaign County, IL) — The trial is set to begin today for a man accused of the murder of a Mahomet woman. Michael Henslick is accused of assaulting and stabbing Holly Cassano to death in 2009 and has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. Cassano was his former Mahomet-Seymour classmate and Candlewood Estates mobile home park neighbor. Jury selection was completed yesterday. Henslick had declined a plea deal and the trial is moving forward.
