Governor Announces Millions In Capital Funding For Statewide Research Initiative
(Carbondale, IL) — Southern Illinois University Carbondale is getting a lot of money to improve research and innovation across the state. Governor JB Pritzker announced Wednesday that the university is getting two-point-five-million dollars as part of a greater statewide initiative. The project is being spearheaded by the Illinois Innovation Network and Discovery Partners Institute. The total capital funding for the group is 500-million dollars.
