Trump Declares National Emergency On Coronavirus.
(Washington, DC) — President Trump is declaring a national emergency on the coronavirus. Speaking at a White House news conference, Trump said the action will open the door to distribution of up to 50-billion-dollars in aid to state and local governments. There are about 17-hundred confirmed cases of coronavirus in America and the death toll has risen above three dozen. The number of confirmed cases is expected to climb much higher as more coronavirus test kits become available. Trump said “This will pass” and he stressed that the U.S. will emerge stronger.
Trump cited tremendous progress in confronting the crisis, including getting more coronavirus test kits ready for distribution. He insisted that everyone will not need to be tested. Trump also noted that other countries are having much more trouble than the U.S.
