Pritzker Orders Gatherings Of 50 Or More To Be Canceled
(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is ordering that gatherings of 50 or more people be canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The mandate is in line with new CDC guidelines issued over the weekend. The ban applies to gyms, fitness centers, private clubs and theaters. The executive order was issued the same day state health officials reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the total in Illinois to 105 in 15 counties. Pritzker already ordered all bars and restaurants in the state to be closed to the public.
