Danville Woman Facing Prison After Infant’s Death
(Vermilion County, IL) — A Danville woman is facing prison time after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of her infant. Deborah Johnson was sentenced yesterday to nine years in prison, with two years of mandatory supervised release. Prosecutors say officers responded to Johnson’s home in January 2019, where her unresponsive baby died shortly after their arrival. An autopsy determined the infant’s blood contained two times the fatal dose of Benadryl.
