Louisville Mayor: Kentucky Derby Will Look Different
(Louisville, KY) — Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer says the already postponed Kentucky Derby will be different this year. The 146th Kentucky Derby has been pushed back to Labor Day weekend due to the coronavirus outbreak. During his daily briefing yesterday, Mayor Fischer said until there’s a vaccine, sporting events and other large gatherings are going to be different. The Derby regularly draws 150-thousand people, but Fischer said “Obviously they don’t need fans to run the Derby, but it’s not going to be like prior Derbies.”
