Changes To Hot Dog Eating Contest
(Brooklyn, NY) — There’s changes to this year’s annual Fourth of July hot dog eating contest because of coronavirus. Throngs of people usually jam pack an area by the beach on Coney Island, Brooklyn to watch men and women wolf down dogs and buns. However, this year the contestants will be in an undisclosed location with no crowds. The men’s front runner, Joey Chestnut, tells TMZ they’ll be in air condition and he thinks that will help him beat his own world record. He downed 74 hot dogs and buns in 2018 in 10 minutes. For the first time ever, fans can place bets on the contest.
