Eleven Illinois counties are at a warning level for COVID-19. The counties include Sangamon, Cass, Gallatin, Jackson,, Jo Daviess, Johnson, Perry, Randolph, Saline, St. Clair, and White. Counties at warning level are experiencing two or more COVID-19 risk indicators, including more than 50 new cases per 100-thousand, a more than 20-percent increase in deaths, and a seven-day test positivity rate above eight-percent. Other risk factors include having fewer that 20-percent of ICU beds available, a more than 20-percent increase in COVID-19-like illness visits to ERs, a more than 20-percent increase in hospital admissions for COVID-19-like illnesses, and an abnormal percentage of clusters.
