Governor J.B. Pritzker is calling out unemployment fraud that is taking a toll on the Illinois Department of Employment Security. Pritzker said yesterday that the IDES has found hundreds of thousands of fraudulent claims mixed in with the tens of thousands of valid requests for unemployment benefits. The governor says IDES is working with state Attorney General Kwame Raoul and legal authorities to ferret out and prosecute the false claims.
