Apollo Conference Accepts Teutopolis for 2020-21 Membership Application accepted by vote of Apollo members for just the 2020-21 school year
Taylorville— Monday August 10, 2020 — By vote of the Apollo Conference schools, Teutopolis High School has been accepted into the Apollo Conference for all sports they host. This does not include football. The application was made by Teutopolis High School and will be effective only for the 2020-2021 school year. The move becomes effective immediately and eases scheduling difficulty for the conference. Teutopolis will join current members of the conference that include Charleston, Effingham, Lincoln, Mahomet-Seymour, Mattoon, Mt. Zion, and Taylorville. The application was for all sports except for football.
Matt Hutchison, Taylorville Principal and President of the Apollo Conference, wrote the Teutopolis administration to let them know their application was accepted and said “We look forward to the competition and sportsmanship that Teutopolis will bring to the conference”
