Spirit Looking For Stairway To Supreme Court

(Undated) — Could Led Zeppelin be heading to up the stairway to the Supreme Court? The Randy Craig Wolfe Trust is appealing to the highest court in the United States over a copyright issue concerning the band’s most iconic song, “Stairway to Heaven.” Brandy Wolfe was the singer-songwriter for the band Spirit and he authored the song “Taurus,” which has an uncanny resemblance to the opening of “Stairway.” Led Zeppelin won a trial in 2016 and then the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in March that there was no need for a retrial.
