U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is beginning his fifth term in office. The Illinois Democrat was sworn into office yesterday. He was escorted to his swearing in on the Senate floor by U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. Durbin is the longest-serving Senator from Illinois.
