Valentine’s Day Scams On The Rise
(Undated) — Valentine’s Day, when our hearts turn to love and scammers turn to scamming. According to Trend Micro, romance-related scams are up 20 percent over last year because more people are staying home and feeling isolated during the pandemic. Be wary of some common scams, including criminals using online dating to ask for money or personal information. Also be on the look out for shopping scams, including fake websites that look like real ones, promoting deals on jewelry or other treats for your sweetheart.
