Illinois Top State For Gun Background Checks In 2021
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is the top state in the nation for firearm background checks in 2021. So far this year, state officials have conducted over four-point-two-million gun background checks. The next closest state is Kentucky with more than one-point-one-million. The FBI says it doesn’t have a specific correlation between the changes in background check numbers.
