EIU’s Megan Burton is the Ohio Valley Conference Softball Player of the Year. The shortstop led the conference with an EIU program record 18 home runs while batting .324. She finished second in the OVC in both runs and RBI. Joining Megan on the All-OVC First Team is Haley Mitchell, who batted .338 with 13 home runs and 35 RBI. Morgan Lewis made the All-OVC Newcomer team despite missing the final six conference games of the season with an injury. The transfer from the University of Iowa led the OVC in stolen bases with 23 and led the Panthers with a .357 batting average.
