University of Illinois Police Officer Aaron Landers has passed away due to injuries sustained in a crash last night. Lieutenant Sanders was struck by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle off duty at the intersection of Church and Prospect. Landers succumbed to his injuries this morning. Illinois Fraternal Order of Police President John Wright requested prayers for comfort for his wife Dee, son Alex and daughter Kira.
