Bears Quarterback Justin Fields To Start Saturday
(Chicago, IL) — Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields will get his first pro start. Head Coach Matt Nagy announced yesterday that the top draft pick will play the first half of Saturday’s preseason game against the Titans in Nashville. Nick Foles will play the second half. Nagy says he’ll use his gut to decide when Fields may take over the starting position. He also said Andy Dalton will start Week One of the regular season against the Rams, regardless of Fields preseason performance. The Bears traded up to draft the Ohio State signal-caller less than two months after signing Dalton to a one-year, ten-point-five-million-dollar contract.
