Cat From Long Island Found After Fleeing Cargo Carrier At JFK
(Mastic Beach, NY) — A missing cat is back safe on Long Island after escaping a cargo carrier at JFK Airport. The cat was missing for over two weeks after fleeing last month while being loaded onto an Italy bound flight with its owner. A local animal rescue group was given permission by the Port Authority to bring in night vision cameras and a trap which led them to the animal some 18 days later. Workers with Long Island Cat Kitten Solution says the cat lost a few pounds but is otherwise okay and back home with the owner’s girlfriend while the Mastic Beach man is in Italy.
