Rams Advance To Super Bowl 56
(Inglewood, CA) — The Los Angeles Rams are heading to Super Bowl 56 after knocking off the rival 49ers 20-17 in the NFC Championship Game. Matt Gay booted a go-ahead 30-yard field goal with 1:46 to play, and Jimmy Garoppolo was picked off on the ensuing possession to seal the victory. The Rams rallied from a 17-7 fourth quarter deficit to advance to their second Super Bowl in four years. They will face the Cincinnati Bengals in the big game on February 13th in Inglewood, marking the second-straight year a team will play on its home turf. Matthew Stafford threw for 337 yards and two touchdowns to Cooper Kupp, who ended with 142 receiving yards. Garoppolo threw for 232 yards, two TD’s and a pick in what could be his final game with San Francisco.
