Northbound I-57 traffic is being diverted at milepost 184 due to a traffic crash

The traffic diversion on I-57 northbound at milepost 184 had ended and I-57 northbound is opened at that location.  Traffic is still down to one lane on I-57 northbound at milepost 188 while traffic crews remove debris.  Continue to use caution in this area.

Illinois State Police, Mattoon Police Department, Coles County Sheriffs Deputies, and EMS are on the scene of a traffic crash involving a box truck and an IDOT truck, and a passenger car, on I-57 northbound at milepost 188.  Because of the crash, northbound I-57 traffic is being diverted at milepost 184.  Please use caution while driving through the area or find an alternate route.  Be alert for slow or stopped traffic in the area.
