Tow Truck Driver Killed By Vehicle In Champaign

(Champaign, IL) — A teen is being cited after a tow truck driver was hit and killed by a vehicle in Champaign. Authorities say Ross Booker was helping clean up the site of a crash Saturday night near Windsor Road and Neil Street when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy hit him. Booker died at the hospital and the teenage driver was issued a citation for a Scott’s Law violation. The victim was a member of the St. Joseph-Stanton Fire Protection District.
