Memorial Elementary School in Paris, IL Recognized as One of the Best in the State for 2023

Paris, IL – Memorial Elementary School, located in Paris, Illinois, has been ranked and awarded as one of the best elementary schools in the state for 2023 by Niche, a trusted ranking system that helps families identify the best places to live and send their children to school.

Niche evaluates schools on various criteria, including academic performance, attendance, safety and discipline, parent surveys, teacher performance, programming offered to students and families, access to mental health services, and more. Memorial Elementary School, part of Paris-Union School District No. 95, provides full-day preschool through second grade education and has consistently demonstrated excellence in all areas.

Paris Union School District No. 95 offers student programming for free from 6 AM to 6 PM, supporting families and ensuring that all students have equal access to educational opportunities. Memorial Elementary School also employs two full-time mental health professionals, a full-time parent educator, and personnel devoted to helping students in reading and math recovery. Monthly parent engagement activities, successful community collaborations focused on early career explorations, safety skill training, and fine arts programming are just some of the ways Memorial Elementary School goes above and beyond for its students.
