Farmer City Heritage Days (and Rodeo)
Farmer City, IL (JANUARY 10, 2025): The 2025 Heritage Days Committee is thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated main events for this year’s festival, along with our exciting new location. In a significant partnership with T&A Bucking Bulls and Rugged Cross Cattle Company, Heritage Days will feature a spectacular 2-Day Rodeo Event in Farmer City that promises to be a highlight of the festival. Attendees can look forward to an action-packed lineup including thrilling bull riding, ranch bronc riding, exhilarating barrel racing, and fun-filled mutton busting, creating an unforgettable experience for rodeo enthusiasts and families alike.
To accommodate these electrifying events, we are proud to announce our collaboration with the Farmer City/Dewitt County Fairgrounds, which will serve as the new venue for the Heritage Days festival in 2025. This location not only offers ample space for more vendors and diverse food trucks but also allows us to significantly expand the free kids’ activities and the highly popular 5K run. Clearing Main Street will enable us to organize a festive “Cruise” down the street, which will coincide with this year’s car show entries, bringing together car lovers and the community in celebration.
Make sure to stick around each night after the rodeo, as we will feature exciting main stage concerts at the arena. On the evening of Friday, May 30, 2025, we are excited to welcome the immensely talented Cody Canada and The Departed as our headlining act. Canada, renowned as the frontman of the iconic band Cross Canadian Ragweed, has been a pivotal figure in the Red Dirt music genre for over a decade, boasting millions of album sales and performances before enthusiastic crowds across the U.S. In 2011, he established The Departed, blending sounds inspired by the legendary outlaw country icons of the 1970s and the rock trends of the 1990s, ensuring a night of memorable music.
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, we are proud to present Drew Baldridge as our headliner. An Illinois native who is currently making waves in the music scene from Tennessee, Baldridge will captivate the audience with his new single “Tough People,” alongside his recently acclaimed viral hit, “She’s Somebody’s Daughter,” which achieved number one status.
As has become a tradition at Heritage Days, we will also feature a vibrant carnival and an expansive kids zone, both conveniently located at the fairgrounds. Additionally, we invite everyone to join us for Community Night, which will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, also hosted at the fairgrounds, fostering community spirit and connection ahead of the weekend festivities.
Gates for both the rodeo and the concerts will open promptly at 5 PM each evening. The rodeo will kick off at 6:30 PM, followed by the concert starting at 9 PM. We are pleased to announce that general admission is free for both the rodeo and the concert, allowing everyone to experience the excitement without any cost. After the conclusion of the rodeo, the track gates will open, welcoming those with party pit tickets to enjoy an up-close experience right in front of the stage.
Please be aware that all event times are subject to change. For the latest information and updates, we encourage you to check our official website at www.farmercityheritagedays.com. Join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable weekend filled with fun, music, and community spirit!
