On Friday (April 18), Lana Del Rey released a new ballad, “Bluebird,” and the singer shared an Instagram video where she revealed the song’s origins in a heartfelt story. Lana describes witnessing a little bird flying into her window as she was preparing to take a walk with an old boyfriend. “I was shocked, and I opened the little door and I saw this little sparrow right there, and I just was so emotional,” she said. “Like sometimes I feel like nature has its own way of communicating with you, especially in extremely severe situations. I just wanted to hold it. I was so hoping that it would be OK. I just knelt there, and I just sang, ‘Little bird, little bird, fly away for both of us.’ I was just kind of tearing up for myself and for the bird.” “Bluebird” is the second song shared from her upcoming 10th studio album, with the title and release date now uncertain. Lana will perform “a very special country set” at the Stagecoach music festival on Friday (April 25). (Billboard)
