Mattoon Water Update – July 17
Free water distribution continues today from 10am–8pm at Lytle Park and Williams Elementary School for Mattoon residents. Available items include 24-packs of bottled water and 1-gallon jugs while supplies last. Water tankers will also be available (with brief pauses only during refills). Bring your own containers (max 5 gallons) for refills — all must have secure lids. Homebound or need assistance? Fill out the Water Assistance Request Form to request delivery.
The The Salvation Army Mattoon, IL and Walmart Mattoon are partnering to give out FREE drinking water for those affected by the Do Not Drink order.
- Where: Mattoon Walmart (use the McDonald’s entrance and follow signs to Lawn & Garden)
- When: Today until 7 PM
- They’re handing out:
- Cases of bottled water
- Gallon jugs of water
- Nursery water
