Illinois Soybean Growers Webinar: Prioritize Grain Bin Safety this Harvest

Bloomington– SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 – Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG), in partnership with Ag Growth International (AGI), will host a webinar at noon on Tuesday, September 23, focused on equipping attendees with essential knowledge to reduce the risk of grain bin entrapments.

Grain bin entrapments remain one of the leading causes of farm fatalities, with incidents rising in recent years. In response, ISG and AGI Strategic Accounts Manager Ryan Thompson will present proven safety practices, including proper entry protocols, lockout/tagout procedures and strategies to minimize bin entry.

Additionally, Thompson will share how proactive bin maintenance and digital monitoring tools can prevent spoilage, maintain grain quality and keep farmers safe by reducing the need for bin entry.

This session promises to offer practical, evidence-based strategies that can be immediately applied on farms to protect workers, strengthen community preparedness and prevent tragedies during harvest.
