Tri-County will play La Harpe for the state championship at Central A&M Middle School. In the 2A tournament, Dieterich takes on Illini Bluffs for third place, and in the 3A tournament, Lawrenceville battles Downs Tri-Valley for 3rd place
Boys’ High School Basketball:
Windsor/Stew-Stras plays Hillsboro, CH/BC vs Mulberry Grove, Villa Grove hosts Danville Schlarman, O-P-H goes to Tri-Point
Girls’ High School Basketball:
Tri-County battles Okaw Valley, Neoga takes on Brownstown/St. Elmo, St. Anthony faces Effingham, CH/BC @ Altamont, T-town hosts Newton, Windsor/Stew-Stras vs Tuscola, Red Hill goes to North Clay, Arcola plays Heritage, Casey-Westfield against Martinsville, Villa Grove battles Blue Ridge
NTC 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Tournament:
Cumberland vs St. Elmo/Brownstown in the consolation championship at 5:30; Sigel St. Michael’s plays CH/BC in the third-place game, and Stew-Stras will face Effingham Sacred Heart in the championship game
College Basketball:
It’s the OVC home opener for the EIU men’s and women’s basketball teams against SIU Edwardsville. The ladies’ game tips off at 3:00, and the men’s game starts at 5:30. Take a new toy or children’s book to donate and you’ll get a free ticket and free popcorn
The Lake Land women’s basketball plays Mesa team plays Mesa Community College at 6:30
