(Undated) — As many as three-thousand Microsoft workers — mostly outside the U.S. — are losing their jobs in a major company reorganization. The company today said the move is intended to help it focus more on its growing cloud business. The layoffs will mostly entail sales staff and Microsoft said they are not intended to cut costs, but change the way it handles sales. The layoffs, 25-percent of which are U.S. workers, amount to less than ten percent of the company’s sales force.
