A fatal traffic crash that occurred yesterday, Wednesday, July 19th, claimed the life of a 28 year old Urbana male. Preliminary details from Illinois State Police, District 10, indicate the 28 year old (unit 1) was eastbound along I-74 at milepost 218.5 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the right guardrail three times, before leaving the roadway to the right. Unit 1 was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed due to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
