Two women were rescued from the Kaskaskia River yesterday. Officials say the pair allegedly took a canoe from the Kaskaskia River Campground and became entangled in a downed tree and were tipped out of the canoe. Reportedly, one of the women could not swim. The incident remains under investigation.
