Raiders CB Smith Charged With Felony Assault
(Los Angeles, CA) — Raiders cornerback Sean Smith is facing felony charges in L.A. County stemming from an altercation with his sister’s boyfriend on the Fourth of July. Smith allegedly beat the victim and stomped on his head. Smith was arrested yesterday and charged with felony assault and felony battery. The 30-year-old signed a four-year, 38-million dollar deal with the Raiders last offseason. He was released from jail Thursday on 80-thousand dollars bail and is due to be arraigned on September 29th. Smith is looking at up to seven years behind bars if he’s convicted.
